American Trucking Associations President Chris Spear said the trucking industry continues to show resilience despite challenges in the U.S. economy, marked by two straight quarters of negative gross domestic product and interest rate hikes by the U.S. Federal Reserve that aim to slow decades-high rates of inflation.

CENTRAL POINT, Ore. —
A Medford teen is in the intensive care unit at Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center fighting for her life after being hit by a car in Central Point. The 16-year-old’s family said Hailee Patnesky was walking near the corner of Gibbon Road and Azalea Drive with her younger sister and a friend when she was hit by a car.

The family of a 14-year-old high school student injured in an accident last week is holding on and asking for prayers. Kenneth Curley and two other band members were injured after they were involved in an accident Friday morning at the intersection of FM 1113 and FM 580 in Topsey. According to DPS, the accident happened around 11:35 a.m. The teens were in a Toyota pickup truck when they collided with a Chevrolet pickup truck.

McClain County, OK. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 3:20 p.m. near Purcell on northbound I-35. Erin Van Horn, 40, was driving six children in an SUV when she crashed into the back of a semi that was stopped, possibly due to congestion or a different accident, according to OHP.
